The 2013 Celebrate Children Festival is April 27th at the Mall of Monroe from 10am-2pm. The 18th Annual Festival is a special opportunity for children and their families to enjoy FREE activities while celebrating and valuing the young children of Monroe County!
At the event, children are entertained with crafts, music, dancing, giveaways and much much more! There are two stages with ongoing entertainment throughout the event. The Kiwanis Club of Monroe will be on hand to distribute free books and parents will receive valuable information from over 50 agencies, organizations, groups and businesses that are dedicated to young children.
FREE t-shirts and lunch coupons to the first 600 children (preschool through 4th grade) that attend the event.
The Monroe Masons will be on-hand to provide each child with identification kits provided FREE of charge by the Michigan Child Identification Program. All identifying items generated during the event are given to the child’s family. The items include; dental impressions, DNA samples, photos, fingerprints and a recorded interview. The Monroe Masons will be located in the mall’s community room.
The event is provided free of charge because local businesses and organizations have generously donated to the event. The Festival is planned by a group of individuals that are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of all children.
