This week’s front page story went to the French Cooking Cook-Off at the River Raisin National Battlefield Park on May 17, 2014. Held on the same day as the battlefield Open House, this event promises to be a fun-filled, family extravaganza. Inside The Buzz, we paid tribute to Sue Donovan – she is the proud recipient of this year’s Abraham Lincoln Certificate of Appreciation Award. Read the story for more details. We also gave attention to the new epidemic of bad driving in Monroe and, in this week’s insert, discussed the need for revising Michigan’s Dog Law of 1919.
