This beautiful kitten’s name is Birdie, and she’s in need of a permanent home where she can come into her own. Born near LaPlaisance Road during this year’s long, cold winter, Friends of Companion Animals rescued and spayed her. She currently lives with FOCA Cat Coordinator Kimberly Kruse.
“I’ve worked with Birdie to socialize her,” Kimberly reports. “She really is a cute little thing, and weird-silly. I enjoy fostering her, although it’s now time for Birdie to find her forever home.”
Kimberly describes Birdie as ideal for those who are patient and loving. She quickly warms to people and, despite her rough start in the world, is very affectionate.
“We couldn’t put her back in the cold,” Kimberly says of Birdie when FOCA found her. “She was so little. Now she’s grown into a sweet and adoptable pet.”
