This week’s featured pet is Miss Apple, a beautiful orange and white cat ready for a family. Miss Apple was in 2013 pulled from Monroe County Animal Control by Friends of Companion Animals. At that time, she was ready to give birth and later had five kittens. Given such a rough start, she is today remarkably.
“She’s a little shy, but she’s a good kitty,” says Penny Bly, director of FOCA. “She’s had a hard way to go…who even knows where she came from or what she’s been through? It’s time a good family adopted her so others can enjoy her sweet company.”
This is just what the team at FOCA has done – enjoyed Miss Apple’s gentle nature. When she’s not lounging before the window with sun streaming across her fur, she’s romping with the other cats. “She’s very docile,” Penny agrees. “She mostly likes to relax.”
By FOCA’s estimations, Miss Apple is about three or four years old. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots. “Sometimes it takes a while to find the right person for the right cat,” Penny says. “Miss Apple is here until she finds her forever home.”
