Come see it to believe it! The Rocky Horror Show returns to the RRCA stage for the final time from September 26 – September 27. With catchy rock music, larger-than-life characters and a bewildering plot, this 70’s musical presented by The River Raisin Repertoire Company and directed by Tracy Glover remains immensely popular with audiences.
Richard O’Brien wrote the music, lyrics, and book for The Rocky Horror Show, a story about two clean cut kids, Brad Majors and Jane Weiss, who run into car trouble and seek help at the site of light down the road. Little do they know, it’s coming from a place where Dr. Frank N Furter is in the midst of his maniacal experiments, including a muscle man named Rocky Horror.
The leads for this final run of Rocky Horror will be reprised by Nick Whittaker as Dr. Frank N Furter, Tracy Glover as Jane Weiss, Tom Middleton as Brad Majors, Craig Cousino as Riff Raff and Bridgette Halcomb as Magenta. As in the past, the show will be accompanied by the popular live band directed by Josh Glover. In addition to performing during the show, the band will also perform pop hits before the first and second acts.
Though the cast, band and director Tracy Glover are sad to be retiring the show after seven great years, they are excited to make room in the RRCA’s future seasons for new productions and hope that audiences will be just as energized and ready to have a good time at the shows as they have in the past.
