Superintendent Scott J. Bentley announced today that River Raisin National Battlefield Park will be holding a bench dedication ceremony on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm in front of the Visitor Center by the flagpoles. Representatives of the 1812 Michigan and Kentucky Society donated the bench and it states: “The Michigan and Kentucky Societies of the War of 19812 dedicate this memorial bench to those who served their country at the battle of the River Raisin January 18th and 22nd 1813.
