Here in Monroe, it’s easy to dismiss the horrors of drug abuse and human trafficking as events that happen in “other” towns. But the reality is we are the other town, and people are suffering in our own backyards. That’s why this week’s front page story focused on an Art Auction Fundraiser sponsored by Caring Alternatives, Inc., to help victims of human trafficking. We also ran an important piece on Michigan legislature that infringes upon women’s right, as well as a nice historical story on Bridge School. Kick back and enjoy!
