Rolf, the Mercy Memorial Cancer Connection Therapy Dog and his owner Mary Goode are inviting the community to participate in Canines 4 A Cause – a community event is to raise awareness about Cancer Connection services as well as raise funds to continue free support and services for those with cancer in Monroe County.
The event will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at Munson Park, and will include lots of family fun! There will be a dog and owner walkathon, Cutest Photo Contest, Doggy Fair (including scarves, snacks and items for purchase and information booths), Dog Agility Course, Giveaways, Raffles and Live Music.
• The awards ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m. featuring celebrity judges (categories include cutest outfit, waggiest tail, best 6 legs and more!)
• $10 minimum donation suggested per dog
• Owner is responsible for control of dog and must clean up messes. All dogs must be on leash.
• Registration is due upon arrival to event
• Event held rain or shine
• Free gift for all registered participants
• No dog required!
