Superintendent Scott J. Bentley announced that River Raisin National Battlefield Park will be hosting a presentation by Ralph Naveaux on “The Habitants of Frenchtown” on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 1 p.m
Mr. Naveaux will give a Power Point presentation on what life was like over 200 years ago for the French-Canadians who settled here. Ralph will discuss their lifestyles, customs, clothing, foods, etc…
Ralph is the author of Invaded on all Sides and is on the Michigan Commission on the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and a member of the French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan. He has earned degrees in history and administration from Michigan State University, and in French from Eastern Michigan University.
