The Old Mill Museum, Monroe County Library System, and Monroe County Historical Museums are partnering to promote the Michigan Activity Pass. The Michigan Activity Pass allows library patrons to receive passes to explore Michigan’s cultural heritage resources.
This summer, Monroe County residents can pick up a Michigan Activity Pass Passport from the Old Mill Museum, any branch of the Monroe County Library System, or the Monroe County Historical Museum. Once their passport is completed, participants will be entered into a drawing to win a basket of great prizes.
On June 17th and 18th the Monroe County Library System and the Old Mill of Dundee and Monroe County Historical Museum, will kick off the their MAP partnership. Festivities begin in Dundee on June 17th. The Dundee Branch Library begins activities with Dig Into Reading at 10 am and 1 pm and the Old Mill Museum will be open from 12 pm to 4 pm with 10% off any gift shoppe purchase for anyone with a Michigan Activity Pass Passport. Activities continue on June 18th beginning at the Dorsch Memorial Library as they start their Dig Into Reading program at 11 am and 1 pm; the Monroe County Historical Museum will be open from 12 pm to 5 pm.
As part of the Michigan Activity Pass, the Dorsch Memorial Branch will be offering walking tours of downtown Monroe at 2 pm on June 26th, July 10th, July 24th, August 7th, and August 21st. The Monroe County Historical Museum will also have the Martha Barker Country Store and Navarre-Anderson Trading Post open on June 14th, July 6th, July 19th, August 3rd, August 16th, September 7th, and September 20th from 1 pm to 4 pm.
